Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, hands-on communications practitioner with a passion for delivering impact through earned and owned media to take their career to the next level!

Through media relations, communications and thought leadership you’ll play an important role in ensuring our clients, employees and the wider industry have a positive perspective of Kantar IBOPE Media and support our leadership in driving growth for the industry.

The individual in the role will achieve success by ensuring our marketing communications efforts win with our clients, our employees and the industry by:

  • Create and deliver compelling strategic communications plans that enhance Kantar IBOPE Media’s reputation as a resource and thought leader in the media industry.
  • Drive impact of Kantar IBOPE Media’s data and insights to generate insightful communication programmes that deepen our relationship amongst key client segments and companies.
  • Being an active role model, collaborator and leader within the Global Marketing Team and a strategic partner to commercial leaders in the region.

Responsibilities

This hands-on role has both strategic and operational responsibilities including:

  • Design, deliver and maintain clear, impactful communication plans – press, channels and influencers - that use our data and align to our strategic business priorities. Working in close collaboration with our GTM & Field marketing teams and business leaders, plans include earned (press and influencers) and owned media channels (website, events, social media and professional networks).
  • Manage inbound, reactive and day-to-day media relations and communication requirements with journalists, , clients, influencers and the general public. This includes but not limited to crisis and issues management.
  • Ensuring all brand materials and marketing channels using the Kantar IBOPE Media brand and owned are designed and maintained to the highest standards and delivering value aligned to business priorities and our clients.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to deliver internal communication requirements – these include but not limited to commercial, HR and inclusion & diversity teams.
  • Manage a team of four marketing specialists, supporting and inspiring them to manage workload inline with priorities and develop their careers.
  • Play an active role as a member of global and local leadership teams, working on ad hoc tasks as required, and contributing in the delivery of our global initiatives.

Experience

  • 10+ years experience with proven success delivering communication initiatives e.g. thought leadership programmes, product launches, strategic initiatives and crisis management. You must be comfortable working with journalists and influencers both in Brazil and beyond.
  • Experience working in an in-house PR/communications role within the in media, technology and/or government/public sector industry.
  • Experience working in a (B2B) global matrix organisation and developing working relationships with a range of stakeholders at all levels of seniority
  • A natural storyteller - able to understand and interpret complex detailed business information (e.g. technical processes and methodologies) and communicate in a clear, succinct way.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent - a professional PR / Comms qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Fluent in English, Spanish & Portuguese
  • People management experience.
  • Experience working with media data/insights advantageous but not essential.

  • Strong understanding, knowledge of and experience in application of crisis and incident management principles, practices and methods of implementation in a large and complex organisation.
